Each fall, Beta Mu Sisters sponsors Fuzzie Football, a flag football tournament to raise money for our national philanthropy Autism Speaks. Our sisters act as coaches for teams that participate in this event. This is open to all sororities, fraternities, and other groups that want to join in on the fun. Each team is coached by at least two Beta Mu women and they also help cheer their team to victory.
The chapter also holds its annual Rose Benefit in October. Beta Mu sisters invite their families and friends to a silent auction, raffle, and luncheon to raise money for Autism Speaks. Everyone dresses in pink in honor of Alpha Xi Delta's pink rose and enjoys each others company while raising money as well as awareness for a cause so dear to us.
Later in the spring, Beta Mu puts on a competition in hopes to find a man to represent our chapter as our Xi Man. The men go through different rounds starting out with answering questions about Alpha Xi Delta and Autism Speaks. In addition, each contestant shows us some of their best talents. To end off the competition, the men turn around a puzzle piece to show the ladies of Beta Mu how much money they have raised for our philanthropy. Our Xi Man competition is one of our biggest fundraising events.
